Warren Lush, the Head of Consumer Public Relations, made the news public on Twitter that Tony G had been elected to parliament as an MEP in Lithuania. The Tweet read, "Tony G @tonyguoga has been elected to the European Parliament! Tony G MEP #history".

The poker player turned entrepreneur took the elections by storm standing as a candidate for the pro-European Liberal Party and receiving more personal votes that any other member of the party. Although he started his rise to fame as a poker player, he has in recent years become known for his entrepreneurial acumen and charitable activities.

Although Tony G's responsibilities now far outweigh that of a poker player, with the latest fill to legislate online gaming in the EU having being paused it is a good bet that Tony will be a pro-poker voice when the matter comes up for discussion. As the old saying goes, if you can beat them, join them - Tony G is a man living out this principle.
