Pokerstars has started to send out emails primarily to high volume poker players introducing their latest vip program changes. As previously, mostly players relying on rakeback will be impacted by cuts as high as 85% to their current rewards.
Recreational players will likely benefit from the new bonus program by getting daily randomized payments while grinders will notice that the key element of the new system is not based purely on volume anymore and will either have to adapt to playing with far less rakeback or move to other networks with higher returns.
The changes are to favor the poker ecology on Pokerstars and will be rolled our first in Denmark as soon as May/ June 2017. If the vip changes haves the desired effect Pokerstars will implement the new rewards step by step to other Jurisdictions until the end of 2017.
